Dennis Galligani, ARCHES Executive Director, has served as the Chief Student Affairs Officer for the University of California system. He has managed a number of statewide Academic Preparations Programs, including the statewide GEAR UP effort. He has been involved in, and conducted research on, educational collaborations since 1983.
Diane Siri, Executive Director. Former Santa Cruz County Superintendent of Schools, high school principal and secondary math teacher. She serves on Superintendent O’Connell’s P-16 council and was one of the co-founders of the Monterey Bay Education Consortium (MBEC) which includes K-12 districts in Monterey, Santa Cruz,and San Benito counties, CSUMB, 5 community colleges and UCSC.
Dave Jolly is the Executive Director of the California Academic Partnership Program (CAPP) which has fostered the development of collaboratives across the state since 1984. He has led a concerted effort to bring schools and higher educational institutions together to improve schools and enhance student success.
Penny Edgert is the Executive Director of the Intersegmental Coordinating Committee (ICC) -- the implementation arm of the California Education Round Table. The Round Table consists of the chief executive of all educational sectors in the state, including public schools and public and independent colleges and universities. The Round Table in 2000 signaled its intention to promote regional collaboratives as the approach to address educational issues and enhance student achievement.
Sara Lundquist is the Vice President of Student Services at Santa Ana College and has served as the Director of the Santa Ana Partnership since 1991. She has 25 years of local, state, and national experience focused on increasing student academic achievement in public schools and higher education to increase college attendance and completion through collaborative ventures.
Julie Mendoza is the Southern California Director for ARCHES. Her primary responsibility includes promoting and supporting mature, emerging, and new collaboratives in the Los Angeles area. She has been involved in, and conducted research on, Dropout and College Access issues for more than 20 years. Julie has a doctorate in education from Harvard University.
